Finesse fishing small streams, under overhanging branches and little pockets of water is not easy. At Rapala we produced a solution. We designed a rod that makes fishing tight spots easy. Introducing the Rapala Count Down Elite 5’ 4-piece hollow glass rods.
We designed a lightweight 4-piece hollow UD ( unidirectional) fiberglass blank and added spigot joints, creating a smooth curve bending rod. This design makes flip casting with pinpoint accuracy a breeze. Each joint is also reinforced with special carbon sleeves for maximum durability. Not only did we create an easy casting rod, but we also made it sensitive and light weight.
For aesthetics and functionality, we chose high grade cork grips, black wood reel seat and parts. We added lightweight black anodized aluminum reel seat parts for a classy look. A silicone O ring between lock rings prevents the reel from coming loose while fishing. Fuji Slim O Concept guides are fitted for lightness and strength.
